Junkin' Family Style
September 1st, 2009 in member junkMy Grandma is finally moving to a smaller home, and has offered up piles of good stuff for us! This afternoon, I was delighted to find her dining room buffet stacked with old cookbooks and recipes. I picked out the yellow recipe box, which I remember going through over and over when I was learning to cook. Also, a vintage "Warren" (Pennsylvania) cookbook and a "Grace Before Meals" book that I am going to incorporate into my Thanksgiving centerpiece. The cracker holder in the back is an original - I made it when I was about 9 years old at the Salvation Army Wood Workshop that we attended in the 70's.

The old cookbooks are priceless, good thing grandma saved them. I love your little cracker holder. Aren’t you glad it’s still around after all these years.
