Junky Sconce
August 31st, 2009 in member junkFinally ~ I had time to complete a project and I took my cues from some of the greats! (Janis?!) I found this semi-tarnished silver plate candle sconce on a junking trip and "rubbed" the phrase "Laugh with me" right in the middle. I then took my mismatched saucer and tea cup and attached right to the candle part. I wired a vintage crystal drop and a black glass bead from an old necklace together and added a silver charm that says "play" behind the crystal. Leftover black gauzy ribbon completes the look. It's gonna look great on my back patio and will provide the perfect amount of night time glow. Gosh ~ wish I could have found another one!

Just wanted to say again how much I love this project, and thank you for your very kind comments on my lamp project post. I am continually inspired by the people on this site, and all the support and encouragement means a lot.
Happy junking!!!

Janis ~ huge compliment coming from you. I love what you do with all your creations. Funny how I think of each one of you whenever I see items of a certain style. (Jim industrial, Gretchen jewelry, Kathy shabbychic, Laurel chippy paint, Sue all junk etc etc)
Laurel ~ Crap! Didn't realize my reflection was posted. I look very....round. ha Glad it's not too clear ~ I had been working in the yard. yuck!
Well wishes to everyone!
