Old metal serving tray = Cute magnet memo board

I found a really cheap old metal tray from the 1970s at a little junk shop in town. It was hideous black with orange and red and yellow flowers. With a little "hammered metal" spray paint, it looks designer! I glued on a satin ribbon with some Gorilla Glue (love that stuff), and it now serves as my memo board.

The magnets are vintage buttons with small magnets glued to the back. What do you think?
