Nature offers up some of the lovliest of lovlies. Antlers are beautiful all on their own, but today it occurred to me that a pair might just make a fabulous something!

Yeppers, it worked! This pair just happened to sit perfectly level and was just the right size for a picture frame in need of an easel. Thats what I call the luck of a junker!

I love the juxtapostion of the rustic simplicity of the antlers against the more ornate frame. Its picture perfect to me!

Sorry, but I think the skull is cool too!

The antlers support the frame nicely without any alterations. All done now. Thats what I call a simple Monday!

Let's face it Mondays are not our favorite day of the week, especially as the lazy days of summer fade away into fall. Simple beauty is all around us and I think enjoying and celebrating it is a great way to ease our way back into the work week. The ideas in this series will include easy re-purposes, junkables with a sense of humor, favorite finds, lovely vignettes, decorating tips, and so on. I'm nort sure what else will surface, it is only Monday afterall. The one thing that is certain...there will be no tools involved. Tools are best left alone until after Monday. Am I right??
