Heavily distressed with an intense red finish. That’s an Indian Head logo next to the 12.
The brass numbers are just glued onto the face.
The base is a wheel from an old Hose Reel Stand
The more distressed the BETTER! Pieces like this seem to have a soul.

This old tobacco tin which had been in a Connecticut barn for the last 50 years found a new use as a clock. Pulled from a crate and covered with dirt and dust it was originally filled with “Twelve of the Worlds Finest Smoking Tobaccos”.

It is one all around winner! The patina is fabulous, the brass numbers a perfect addition and love the base. You rock Jim, and next year you have got to plan ahead for the Oronoco show.
