Cute recipe book with vintage veggie can labels and ceramic letters (not sure what the letters are used for usually, but I bought a whole box of em and theyre coming in real handy!)
I love old paper and I have a box full of letters, postcards, stamps and I used some of those to dress up this journal. I used a pretty button for the bookmark charm.
More old stamps and an old envelope. I used an old clip earring for this bookmark charm.

I have recently been making journals and they've been a hit! I take composition notebooks (the ones with the hard covers) and I cover them with good scrapbook paper, vintage maps, pages out of old books, or whatever strikes me at the moment. I cover the inside covers too...I think it jazzes them up. I add other vintage elements like stamps, postcards, recipes, labels, scrabble tiles, and again whatever strikes me at the moment! For the bookmarks I usually use old playing cards or postcards attached to neat little charms (keys, small locks, buttons, whatever). It's an inexpensive project and really anything goes!

audlyenuf writes: Great ideas and lovely job! I hope you have one journal
that keeps a picture record of your projects, too. I started doing that not long ago, and not only enjoy recording my efforts, but my grandchildren love to look through it and exclaim over it. It encourages them to try doing different things, too, and to start their own project journals. I'll have to help them make covers like yours
for their books.....thanks for the idea. Posted: 11:13 am on August 8th
