I left the old springs on for easy storage or a place to clip your clothespins.

This is the hanger for the back of the first piece.

The legs became a second organizer with vintage hooks and drawer pulls to hang the removable baskets.

You could put anything in here and when you wanted to use it...just pop the basket off and there you go.

I found one of the old wooden folding ironing boards and on the back it said "Mother Hubbard" in black letters. I decided to take it apart..who irons anymore anyway???...and I made two organizers for the laundry room from it. On one I attached some old hardware , hooks and removable baskets. The other one got a decorative shelf, the metal spring things that previously held on the ironing board pad and one of the old triple dowel drying racks. I hung it by a very large old handle and used all the old screws that I had after taking it apart. Now if I only HAD a laundry room....

WOW Georgia! What a great laundry room organizer. Who would have thought to make such a cool piece out of an old ironing board frame…YOU! My favorite part is the Mother Hubbard graphics at the top. You really do find the BEST junk.
