This is it before I cleaned it, and started painting.
Her is the base coat. I just used whatever I had. The second coat was white. Next I distressed it just a LITTLE bit, then used a dark glaze and wiped it off.
Once it was completly dry I sprayed it with a sealer and had fun hanging up some of my earrings on it. It will also hold some of my pins too.
I think that I might be able to use small 1/4 in dowell in some of the holes for bracelets and necklaces too. Also when (not if!) I get tired of the ribbon, It is simple to change it , which is nice.
Digging through the kitchen stuff a Goodwill, I found this broiler pan (I think!). I loved the round holes in it and grabbed it for 99cents. I knew it would make a great earring holder. I am SO over having them disappear because they don't have a safe place to be. Wonder how many have gone off to a landfill after cleaning day because they hit the carpet and got swallower up!
