An eclectic collection of pins from all over the world...and there's still space to add any pins that turn up from other forgotten places in the house...(smile)
The cording is flat which worked well to glue around the edge to hide staples. Considered adding another layer of cording or maybe paint the raw wood, but kind of like the neutral colored cord and wood to contrast with all the multi-colored pins.
Painted the canvas for what started out as the front and is now the back. Glued cork stoppers to the corners so the pin backs would not touch the wall.

Started with a collection of Olympic and other misc. pins collected by my three kids over the years-- jumbled up in a shoebox in a closet---I could not seem to find a shadow box frame that worked so came up with the idea of pinning them to an old stretched canvas. Decided to turn it around so the wood stretchers become the frame....I glued some cork rounds to the back so the pins would not scrape the wall. I used the cording from a couple of pairs of the boys' old cargo shorts to hide the staples...with the help of a hot glue gun...
