Moving into 2nd Gear!!
August 25th, 2009 in blog, member junkWell, here is the second lamp that my hubby has put together from gear-shaped engine parts. The base is a small-block Chevrolet piston and the other parts are transmission gears. And guess what!...No welding involved!! The industrial nature of these lamps is a bit urban and a bit rustic. I completely love the shape created by the lamp and the way the light and shadow play out. The fact that it is made from "scrap metal" just makes my nature-loving self smile! :) If you know any racing or car fans, this would rev up their engine!! The gear shapes and metal also rev up some junkers' engines, too!

Amy, what a totally unique lamp! You might have to keep it because it looks great in your living room.
