Faux Fireplace

Here you can see where hubby added the wood and I am beginning to paint.

I found this fireplace surround at a garage sale. We purchased the vintage iron fireplace inner surround at an antique store. My hubby made the wood surround firebox hole smaller to accomodate the iron. He hid the new wood with old corner trim and fluted trim. I painted it all out white. Then he made a box that I could paint to look like brick. I added a candle holder and set it on tiles for a wonderful and moveable faux fireplace.
