This is the detail of a beautiful old picture frame that I picked up at an estate auction for $2!

I added some corkboard and made pins out of old buttons.

I picked up this old picture frame at an estate auction for $2! The detail of the tree branches and leaves is beautiful. I didn't repaint the frame. It was too pretty in its original form. I simply added cork material and made push pins out of old buttons. Very simple project.

birdcolor writes: I almost got the frame for free. The frame was in a pile of stuff at the estate auction. Another bidder won the pile and then picked up some other item from the pile and started to walk away. I ran after him and asked if I he wanted the frame. He said no so I offered him a couple of dollars for it. He said I didn't have to pay him anything, but I felt that I should give him something since I was bidding against him.
