upcycled brass bowl windchimes
June 25th, 2009 in member junkI have always loved brass bowls & brass bells, but was at a loss for how to display/use them. Brass decorative items have been out of style for a while so they are fairly easy to find inexpensively at thrift stores, yard sales & the flea market. The bells I found for a steal at a yard sale (but you can buy them online) and the "chains" are actually fishing lure connectors that are stupid cheap! The beads are, well, just beads from Michael's and etsy.com... Again I used that good ol' metal drill bit to punch holes to assemble these. I have yet to come across a good clapper that matches and is large/lightweight enough to get the job done, so this project is always evolving.
I apologize for the quality of the pictures, from now on I will photograph things with posting them for the public in mind.
