This was a junk project a few years ago. Since July is almost here this would be great project now! I took an old door panel.........crackled one end. While the crackle was drying I picked out antique & vintage white/cream buttons. The red stripes on the flag is fabric. They were made from strips of 40's bridge napkins that were faded. Once the crackle was dry I painted the back ground blue. I then hammered the buttons on. I know I could have just glued but I loved the rustic look of the brads. I put 2 brads in each button so they would stay put!
