This is a up close and personal view of the placecard holders. I'm not sure what they are, but I know they're wonderful. The first time I visited Jenny K.'s lab I was immediately drawn to them. I've always said junk speaks to you and these littles beauties were shouting at me! What a treat to be able to take one home as a party favor!
Here are the little party soldiers all in a row. The placecards are fashioned from vintage tickets or coupons and the names are typed on using a vintage typewriter. Nice touch! You know me. I can't get enough of those little details.
The candles holders take center stage on the table. I believe the glass containers are globes from industrial light fixtures. As for the meetal stands...their idenity remains a mystery to me.
So cool, I thought you should see them from a couple different angles. Notice the bottom tray. Some of my favorite junk comes from hatcheries. This is a chick transporter. You've seen me use these before...they are so versitile! Love Jenny's use here as part of the table dressing.
Napkins bundled in industrial metal clamps? But of course!
The condiments were served in little metal cups from the good old soda fountain days. Looks good enough to eat, huh?
No water needed with dried arrangements. This scoop is to die for cute!
The Polly ricotta cheese cans provided the wimsical factor. Love them! Apparently they already had little holes in them making them ideal for candle holders. No drilling required.
Smoking may not be cool, but vintage ashtrays are. All cleaned up they are perfect little lime and lemon holders.
Forget it Sophie! You may not have my taco! Sophie has perfected the puppy dog pout. And yes, she did share part of my dinner. Who can resist a face like that?

The last time I visited the beautiful central coast of California I was treated to a spectacular dinner party that was as pleasing to the eyes as it was to the old taste buds. Jenny K., Melissa, and Georgia too set the table with junk fresh from Jenny K.'s lab. What did I do? I had three chores. Make the guacamole, play with Sophie, and eat. Now that's what I call a junker's day off! Thanks ladies...it was junktacular!
