Mirror Yoke Shelf
June 21st, 2009 in member junkThis mirror yoke was yet another treasure from my favorite local Junk Sale. (The Country Junk Sale in Monticello, MN...love it!) We just removed the bottom piece of wood added the shelf and then reattached the original wood to the front to tie it all back together. A little stain and a bit of distressing and we were good to go. A super simple idea that gets a lot of attention at my house.

I buy things too before I know what I'm going to do with them. Sometimes you just see a piece that calls to you. I tell people I'll have to dream about it and the cool thing is ~ I usually DO dream about it. I've finished lots of projects that way. Happy junkin. Posted: 11:59 am on June 23rd
They have the sale 2 times a year...usually in June and October. They do advertising by email list and local papers but I told them about this site and I think they plan to post it on JMS this fall. I believe it's usually on the first weekend of October and the third weekend of June (actually this past weekend). My sister was married last Friday so I missed the first day but there were plenty of treasures left on Saturday. In fact, I got this huge cool sectioned drawer with a big rusty handle. I still have no idea what I will do with it but at $5...I couldn't resist! Maybe I should post a picture for suggestions???
Thanks for the sweet comments...I just love this site :) Laurel Posted: 3:48 pm on June 22nd
