My lunchtime menu: JUNK!
June 18th, 2009 in projectsWell, Wednesday's lunchtime was spent on a steady diet of junk (this could be a new weight loss program...no calories...no fat grams - and very high energy!). My dear friend, Robin, told me about the garage sale, and I couldn't resist making a run during lunch!
I only spent $13.50...and got a whole load of great junk! And, since my camera is attached at all times...there is fun to go all around! Not sure how I had time to shop and snap pics...but I think I must be getting it down to a science. I made sure I asked permission to get photos - and the host of the sale (Sam) - said ok, and told me he does a newsletter on garage sale-ing...junking...etc...go figure! Will share that too!
I then headed back to work...multi-tasking - eating a quick bite and trying to get back on time...
P.S. Jenny...you should have been there with me! (just a little far to travel for lunch though...)
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.
Post your project photos

Got rained on several times.
I still did OK would have been less work without the rain.
So now visit my webpage and get your free e-book about garage selling. HTTP://www.SamSable.com Thanks Sam

Gretchen - We'd have to share the "S" spoons - you could have one and I'll take one! :)
And, Jim - yep - it's a sickness - with no known cure (thankfully) LOL!
I went to some sales on Friday (on the way back from an out of town furniture delivery..and we found almost nothing...go figure!), and then on Saturday - found a van load (a neighborhood sale - love those!). So, our junking definitely has its off days - but plenty of good ones to make up for it!

Love the clocks you found. They are so great! Love the silver too and the "Schaumann silverware" (lol) I mean "S" silverware. How cool. "Stantz/Schaumann" We'd be fighting over the "S's" if we were out shopping together.
Great post.

RustyDiva - My personal choice for a career would definitely be a personal junk shopper (where should I send my resume?) :) ---- I could do this every day! (Does that sound extreme?? Nah - you guys understand!)
Geo - the wooden file cabinet was very cool...and it was a steal! And you're right about hidden treasure, there were boxes stacked under the tables that you couldn't even get to (so, I may have to go back Saturday when things have thinned out a bit!).
Hey LuAnn...I told you it was great stuff! :)
There is definitely great junk in Ohio! (and I mean that in a very positive way!) ha ha
