Water ski shelf straight on view.

Side view gives the whole waterski feeling, while showing the front curved tip.  What a great addition to our cabin decor.  Thanks Sue for the great idea from a few years back.

This shows the detailing of the angle iron bracket that I purchased at Junk Market from Sue years ago.  It was specifically designed for this purpose.

I bought this vintage wood (green/orange) waterski for my husbands birthday one year and turned it into a shelf. The brackets were purchased at a Junk Market sale back when they still sold out of their occasional sale days.  I added the fun black framed ski/beach photos to the shelf.  Some are framed vintage waterski postcards, etc.  I also added the removable "Let's Go Skiing" sticker.  Those are the words out of my husbands mouth as soon as we get to the cabin, so how fitting!  We are out skiing over a 100 times a season in Minnesota, so this is the perfect shelf for our cabin.

I have things stock piled in my garden shed at the cabin, but haven't built it yet. We host the 4th of July every year, and was thinking those red/white & blue skis one sees around would look awesome as a buffet table. Not sure that I'd have room for this ski project inside the cabin, as it's only 700 ft., so tiny. Posted: 5:24 pm on September 9th

MimiToria writes: Thanks Sue and Kathy. The orange color was already on the walls when we bought the cabin, and was done so well that I have worked with it. My husband loves the color, I'm a bit more conservative and love the warm color used in the rest of the photos from our cabin (also already painted).
It was destiny when I found that waterski at a an Occasional sale in Buffalo, as the colors were perfect. I should of taken a photo showing the green/orange striping. I'm sure someone else bought the other ski.

I pulled 3 skis out of someones garbage this summer and we plan to make a waterski bench for the garden out of those.

My dream is to make the waterski serving table Sue, that you featured in your publishings. Still dreaming/working on collecting the materials for that baby. Posted: 9:50 am on September 9th
