Not a flighty occasional table...

Occasional table in its new space. Paired with a vintage carved stool and propped with snappy accessories, it's a bright and cheery table. Gadorable!

The use of vintage bird-print paper from Katzenbach & Warren (a triple roll scored at a garage sale for ONE DOLLAR) gives this table-top a lighter side.

Close-up of finished piece. Whole surface was sanded, painted a red base coat, sanded, painted a butterscotch top coat, sanded to reveal detailing... then once dry, finished in clear poly. Pant. Pant!

The table. Before BEFORE. The laminate top had been damaged by water-rings (just where did they have that glass top, then?).

Gadora scored this 24" round table at a recent garage sale for a song... Remembering the triple roll of vintage paper in the garage, the occasional table began to take shape. Oh so pretty. Now it sits in an entry hall with a few well-appointed accessories perched on top.
