Old Shipping Crate Flower Boxes

I love the idea of window boxes but my husband doesn't like the idea of drilling holes in the siding.  This project was a good compromise...I purchased 2 of these sectioned shipping crates last fall...my husband welded and spray painted the bases.  Then we put some left over pavers in the bottom to raise the pots up, added the flowers and topped it all off with some mulch to hide the indvidual pots.  Finished...now we're both happy :)

MimiToria writes: Wow! These are so awesome. Tell hubby he did a fab job on the welding. The weld job accents the finished project, but keeps the wondeful patinaed crates in the focus. Love the words on the vintage boxes and your compromise is great as well.
