Yesterday I found this piece. It's wood and I am thinking it was supposed to be a lamp because of the big metal thinh but I am not positive. Maybe it's something else???

I picked it up for free and I am not sure what to do with it, although I've already started painting it white. I forget whose motto it is ("If it's not moving, paint it white") but its true- almost anything can be better w/ a coat of white paint.

Maybe if I can get the metal thing off, it'd be a nice candle stand???

THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT WHITE WITH A B HOUSE OR GRANITE PLATE FOR BIRDSEED, OR A TERRA COTTA PLATE FOR A BIRDBATH, JUST SAW THE METAL OFF OR PUT 4 SMALL FLAGS ON IT, JUST DRILL FOUR HOLES AROUND IT, AFTER ALL JULY 4TH IS AROUND THE CORNER :) I'LL POST MINE THAT I DID SOON, TAKE CARE & THANKS FOR THE QUOTE!
