Vacation in the U.P.
September 6th, 2008 in member junkWe spent Labor Day weekend in the U.P. of Michigan (where I grew up). My JB just started getting to know the U.P., so we drove west on the shoreline of Lake Superior. I found some great pieces of driftwood, and on the long drive home, came up with the idea of hanging my pictures from something (this is actually gutter guards -- have no idea why that has been hanging around in the garage for years) incorporating some of the driftwood. I found an awesome free picture editor download (PhotoScape), turned my pictures antique, tore them apart, punched a hole, added reinforcements, and hung from ornament hooks to the gutter guard that I spray painted black. I attached the guards to the back of the wood with screws on top and bottom, attached a picture hanger to the top board and hung on the wall.
