Time on the Fence

An old dog-ear fence board that my husband was going to toss out became the base for my clocks representing 5 time zones. Our son sails around the world so we like to have an idea of what time it is where ever he might be. I painted the fence board white and attached 5 inexpensive clocks from IKEA.
The different time zone labels were pieces of packing wood from a food shipment. I just thought they were a good size and saved them, thinking they would be good for something someday. I painted them black, and the metal file labels I got from a local craft store. The clocks fit nicely under the poster of the Italian sailing vessel Amerigo Vespucci !

An old fence board, some clocks and some labels and we cover 5 time zones.
