Trash2Treasure Reuse Center SignMay 18th, 2009 in member junk
Using a footboard that I bought for $10 from Habitat for Humanity's ReUse Store (which I purchased only for the posts at each end; I removed them, mounted them on top of each other, and turned them into a nifty corner display pedestal for inside my home), I crafted an exterior grade sign for the local Trash2Treasure reuse center in south Florida. All of the signage consists of trash (bottle caps, bicycle chains, Sheraton utensils, corkscrews, nutcrackers, broken mirror, mini tiles, etc) and paint and polyurethane left over from other projects. I mounted it to leftover landscaping timbers and shored those up with reclaimed 2x4s, and somehow managed to load it onto my truck by myself and transport the wide load to T2T safely!
