Patriotic Clock

3 basic components, clock works left from another project, a patriotic gift ribbon, and a straw hat from when I actually wore them as a fashion accessory!!

Cut a piece of cardboard slightly smaller than the clock works. Cut a hole in the top of the hat. I used glue dots from scrabooking to adhere the cardboard to the inside top of the hat.

Place the clock works into the inside top of the hat.

Use your own tying techniqe to attach the ribbon around the base of the hat top and brin. Again I used glue dots from scrapbooking to keep the ribbon in place.My ribbon was wired at the edges so I merely scrunched it all up and let it back down to get the effect I desired.

I had to pat myself on the back when it was finished.It now hangs on the wall of our summer cabin. It fit right in with the patriotic theme carreid throughout the rooms.
