Waterski Sign

I started this project with an old wood waterski. I sanded it, primed it and painted with white paint. I bought wood letters that spelled the name we've given our cabin in a contrasting color. My husbands idea was to have the words make a wave.
Since we are avid water skiers this is the perfect solution for a sign for our cabin. The ski was found for $5.00 and the wood letters were bought from Michael's craft store.
Note the wave of the letters. Slalom skiers constantly are cuttint through the waves, thus the idea for that. Husbands can be creative too!!!

Cabin sign. A fun and personalized use for an old wood waterski.

I like the idea of cutting the old car tags for signs too, and that is something Sue might be able to give you a tip for, as they sold them last year at the JunkBonanza gathering.
Kimberly - As for the colors of the exterior of the cabin, I wouldn't of chosen them, but have learned to work with them and all is working out. Posted: 6:53 pm on September 2nd
This sign is wonderful. I just adore cabin stuff, there's nothing like getting away from it all. A water ski is so Minnesota. Congrats!
