This was a shower curtain I thought would look good in my 2 year old daughter's room. My friend cut it up the middle and sewed blackout curtains to it. The problem? It was too short (even though it looks long enough). Sooo, I "mistreated" it. Go to http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/2008/01/window-mistreatment-101.html to better understand the definition! I hot glued the black fabric on along with the ball fringe to make it longer under the valance. Cheap and easy and because I don't sew....this works for me!

suewhitney writes: Very resourceful, a sign of a great junker. I'm with you on the sewing thing. Why do it when glue will do ya? Actually, it's on my short list to become more well acquainted with the sewing machine. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for sharing!
