My daughters were in desperate need of a new dresser. I was so excited to find this one yesterday at Goodwill along with the shabby chic collection of "Dream' Letters. The dresser was just missing a couple knobs which ended up being inside the drawers. It was just a plain old stained knotty pine. I painted it a very faint shade of blue....really more white than blue.... and of course I distressed it. Best of all, their clothes are all put away now!!!

rebeljunker: I gave it a very light sanding just to take off the shine. After sanding lightly I wiped it down and painted it with 2 coats of paint. I rarely prime my pieces and I can usually get away with one coat of paint if I'm distressing the piece, but this was a cheap gallon that I picked up off the "oops" rack and didn't cover as well as a higher end paint.
