"Spring" flowers Light up my day!
April 11th, 2009 in member junkI was blessed to have a great turnout at my sale last weekend, due to some well-timed publicity I received (front-page feature on Sunday's Home & Garden section). A new customer, Susan, asked about bed spring projects so I gave her 3 of them and shared some ideas I'd seen. She returned this week with her "Spring" flower projects. They're wonderful! She offered to make some for my next sale, so I guess she's my first official consignee and this is her first try at "professional" junking. THE LOVE OF JUNK CONUTINUES TO GROW! Anyway.....
She first cemented the bedspring upright into a clay pot or you could use any other vessel you want. She added some dirt and planted some flowers. Then she slipped an old chandelier globe, glass, or insulator into the spring and added the votive. Provides a pretty picture all day long and a nice glow at night. Good job, Susan!
